Celtic Solstice Mystery Quilt
Just started my Mystery Quilt. I didn't have the required ruler so I used my Square in a Square Ruler to make 2 Canadian Geese at once. Actually much easier than the traditional method. I have to make 92 orange and 96 neutral. You can see I have a ways to go! The pattern is being published free by Bonnie Hunter if you'd like to try it.

A Day at the Zoo!
A day at the zoo consisted of stopping to shop after my medical appointment this morning. I'm not into Black Friday, but because I needed what I thought were some important items (fabric) I stopped at Mill End which is going out of business and everything is 50% off. It didn't take me long to figure out that was a mistake. The line to get something cut off a bolt was from one end of the store to the cutting table! I quickly changed my mind about purchasing anything there and left. Because I wanted some cheap fabric to make an online Mystery Quilt, I decided to take my chances at Walmart. Naturally, the first thing to catch my eye was one of their store 'Leaders' to get you in the door. So I added a $48 Sony BluRay Player to my cart. Needing the necessary cable to hook it up, I grabbed a HDMI cable. I didn't check the price of the cable and at check out I learned I'd just paid $40 for a cable to hook up the $48 BluRay Player! Then came the fabric for the Mystery Quilt. That turned out to be a good deal, plus no waiting for someone to cut it. However, I didn't learn until I returned home that the young man who cut the fabric forgot to scan in 3 of the pieces he had cut. I then checked my watch to see if I had time to stop at Walgreens on the way home to pick up a few items. Walgreens wasn't too busy so it didn't take me long to purchase what I needed. I also purchased another HDMI cable as theirs were only $7.99! Now, I checked my watch again to see if I had time to return the other cable to Walmart and decided I'd better head to my 12:30 appointment at the Anticoagulation Clinic at Mayo Clinic in Chippewa. To my surprise upon checking in at the Clinic I learned that I was an hour late. However, they could work me in. Guess my expensive watch from Lasker's needs fixing or a new battery! It was a Christmas present from my husband two years ago. My blood test was great so I decided I'd better head home before anything new screwed up my day! My Super Bowl Mystery Quilt(January, 2013) is shown below:
